Travel Feature: 10022-SHOE

Book your first class ticket now. New York's hottest shoe destination, 10022-SHOE opened on the 8th floor of Saks Fifth Avenue today. With its very own zip-code, an exclusive elevator opening to 10,000 sq. ft. of selling and 9,000 sq. ft. of storage space and a VIP room for private shopping, it is immediate clear (much like the 70-foot-long curving wall of hand-blown Muranoglass bubbles) that this is no ordinary shoe boutique.

The expanded department allows Saks to increase its inventory by 150% - with between 1,000 - 2,000 styles on the floor depending on the season. It also will have an expert shoe repair and refurbishing service on hand as well as a cafe. "We're adding a number of exciting new designers, plus we're vastly increasing the depth and breadth of our current vendor assortment," said Ron Frasch, President and Chief Merchandising Officer, Saks Fifth Avenue.

We're thinking we'll be picking up loads of frquent flyer miles.

To commemorate the floor's launch and its unique zip, Saks commissioned some of its fave featured shoe designers to create a set of limited edition stamps that are avail as a gift with purchase.
