Yves Saint Laurent, the legendary fashion designer died today at the age of 71 in Paris. Credited with redefining modern fashion with his elegant pantsuits for women (and so, so much more), Monsieur Laurent, was among the most enduring and influential designers of the 20th century - peered only by Coco Chanel and Christian Dior.

The designer had been ill for some time.
