Naomi Redux: Campbell Arrested in London

Naomi, Naomi, Naomi! When are you going to learn? If picking up garbage in Louboutins can't teach you, what will? Paris has been on her best behavior. Ditto Ms. Richie. But you? Apparently reform just isn't your thing.

So why should we be surprised that British Crown Prosecution Service today charged you with 6 offenses from that nasty little outburst of yours, you know, the one after that British Airways flight when you 'allegedly' assaulted a policeman and threatened the stewardesses because your baggage went missing (it's shameful that we need to clarify which issue!)? Honestly Ms. Campbell. That temper of yours is bound to land you in some serious trouble one of these days, and this may just be that day. These charges carry up to six months jail time, and since the community service hasn't done much to curb your, shall we say, enthusiasm, they just might throw (no, not a cell phone), the proverbial book at you. And frankly, many a people (or assistants) would probably be glad for it.

Get your act together Campbell, the word super can only take you so far.

Sex and the City: The NY Premiere

Cab drivers were among the first to know that the Sex and the City NYC premiere was in full swing, as throngs of fans, paparazzi and celebs descended upon Radio City, withstanding rain and crowds last night for a chance to glimpse one of the movie's high wattage stars. And stars there were! From Magda to Mario, the entire gang was back, hitting the $500,000 Swarovski-crystal covered carpet in serious style.

Leading the fash parade was the uber-glam Sara Jessica Parker who dazzled in a silver Nina Ricci. Also in metallic was Kristin Davis in a stunning Donna Karan accesorized with Fred Leighton jewels but forgetting the Annie adage, "You're never fully dressed without a smile." Cheerier was Cynthia Nixon in Narciso Rodriguez and Kim Catrall in a buxom Vivienne Westwood.

Since fashion is the real celebrity of SATC, designers got equal carpet time with Zac Posen, Nicole Miller, Donna Karan, Todd Oldham, Pat Field - natch, Project Runway winner Christian Siriano, and Mark Badgley and James Mischka with celebs like Fergie (whose featured on the soundtrack), Ashley Olsen, Emmy Rossum, Jill Hennessy, Edie Falco and the Seinfelds.

The girls! Smile Charlotte!

OMG! It's Shoe Porn!

We've long known that shoes were the stuff of fantasy, but alas a viral (don't worry, you won't catch anything!) video from Sergio Rossi proves there's such a thing as shoe porn! Fetishists delight!

Dior Calling

It was only a matter of time we suppose... Dior today will unveil its new Diorphone, a 3,500 euros (~$5,100) "couture" cell that will go on sale in June. Since that doesn't sound nearly haute enough however, a deluxe model embellished with 640 diamonds, and an alligator sheath will also be available for a modest 18,000 euros (~$27,000).

If that sounds pricey to you, we should point out that in all fairness, the phones (at both price points) do come with a "mini twin phone" which will function like a bluetooth eliminating the need for that awful bag digging (worth the price alone, we know!).

The fashion house expects to sell between 30,000 - 60,000 units over the next year.

Breaking! Target Announces Jonathan Saunders the 13th Go International Designer

Target today announced its selection of Jonathan Saunders as the 13th Go International limited edition designer (confirming months of speculation, after it was reported in WWD in January). Saunders' exclusive collection will launch nationwide at Target stores and online in early October.

While Saunders may not be a household name yet, the British designer was just tapped Creative Director of Pollini and chances are quite good that by the time he's completed his stint at Target he will be (remember Patrick Robinson and Erin Fetherston? They weren't exactly widely known and it's a pretty safe bet to say the Go Collections provided invaluable exposure).

Images of the collection will be available over the summer...stay tuned!

Separated at Birth?

Check out this 'pair' of shoes. The shoe at left is Moschino and the one at right is Michael Michael Kors. Two of a kind? Hmm...

Sara Jessica Parker's Sex & The City Premiere look: Haute or bothered?

At the London premiere of the SATC film, all eyes were on Sara Jessica Parker and her attention-screaming Philip Treacy feathered hat. While a Treacy spokesperson said it was "quite brave of her," and Cynthia Nixon was overheard asking, "What was SJP wearing on her head? What was going on there?" H&B wants to know what YOU think...SJP's Hat: Haute or Bothered?

Cut the Lines for Free Kelly Bags

Sure they're made of paper instead of Ostrich, and yes you'll still need to cut the lines to get one, but with the addition of some scissors, glue and colored pencils or markers - you can have your very own Origami Hermès Kelly bag (which is almost as good as the original, or something...)

The APPLE of our hair is back!

H&B heard a very exciting rumor about a month ago, and yesterday we got the confirmation we've long been hoping for: like the mighty phoenix, Salon Selectives, the 80s & 90s drugstore staple has risen from the ashes and is back in production - smelling just as apple delicious as ever!

The shampoo and conditioner have been resurrected in new (yet still pink!) packaging and treatment varieties by Select Beauty Brands, LLC who thankfully had the good sense to keep the scrumptious scent exactly the same - oh glory day!

Former Helene Curtis-pres. Eugene Zeffren is leading the charge as CEO with several other beauty veterans on board. “The re-introduction of Salon Selectives represents a great opportunity for our company,” said Zeffren. “Our research shows that the brand still has over 80% awareness among our target consumers.” Indeed it does Z, indeed it does!

The collection features mix and match shampoos and conditioners for a garden variety of hair types as well as styling products like shine serum, mousse, gel, hairspray, split end mender and more.

For store locations and more info check out salonselectives.com, while we go back to sniffing our locks.

Hi Ho Silver

With gold prices continuing to rise and the dollar continuing its decline, it should probably come as little surprise that many high end jewelery designers are adding silver lines to their collections. Joining the likes of Judith Ripka Two and David Yurman are Ippolita, Leslie Greene and Jude Frances.

While there's nary a gemstone or diamond in sight (ed note: we'd heart some silver gemmed bangles si vous plait), Ippolita's extensive array of bracelets, rings, necklaces and earrings are aspirational and accessible. Prices range from $170 - 1,800 at ippolita.com

Our personal fave, Jude Frances, introduced a silver line back in 2006, and its got all the benchmarks of her premium line. Check it out at Michael C. Fina

Finally, Leslie Greene, jeweler to the stars (and our dreams) added silver to her line up this year making her vintage-inspired designs all the more close at hand.

The Cold Shoulder

If one trend was apparent at Monday night's Costume Institute Ball (besides that mere mortals had no chance of playing with the superheroes) it was this: the one shoulder dress is back... big time! In an array of fabrics, colors and lengths, it was THE look of the night, you know, if you weren't going for that whole Wonder Woman thing. Here, some picks:

Clockwise from top left: Camilla Belle in Armani Prive, Claudia Schiffer in (and with) Valentino, Emily Mortimer, Fergie in Calvin Klein Collection, J. Lo in Alberta Ferretti, Eugenia Silva in Armani Prive

Clockwise from top left: Karolina Kurkova in Vera Wang, Kate Mara in Zac Posen, Michelle Tractenberg in a vintage skirt and top, Sara Larson and George Clooney - both in Armani, Michelle Monaghan in J. Mendel, and Lauren Bush and David Lauren - both in Ralph Lauren

Even the designers themselves gave the cold shoulder with Diane von Furstenberg and Stella McCartney each wearing their own designs and Tory Burch wearing Proenza Schouler.

If Looks Could Kill...

If you matter in this industry, last night found you at one of the biggest events of the year - the Metropolitan Museum's Costume Institute Ball. Hosted by Anna Wintour with sidekicks George Clooney, Julia Roberts and Giorgio Armani, this year's theme "Superheroes: Fashion & Fantasy" has had the fashion world atwirl for months leading up to last night. And true to form, the event was, in a word, super!
The soiree, celebrating the opening of the same titled fashion exhibition (running from May 7 - September 1),inspired many guests to show up with plenty of BAM! and some extra helpings of POW! for the extravaganza:
Anna Wintour Chanel's X-Men

Amber Valetta in Atelier Versace
Jessica Stam in Proenza Schouler
Shazam! It's Lake Bell in Balmain

Gisele Bündchen, in Atelier Versace with Tom Brady, in Tom Ford

Vogue's Andre Leon Talley in Armani captures a Carolina Herrera-clad Venus Williams

Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen, both in Calvin Klein Collection

To be filed under: BOTHERED

I was fishing around over the weekend, hopping from link to link to link and somehow wound up on a fake farm. Curious of their offerings, I clicked around a bit, and was surprised to see Anya Hindmarch. I didn't think she was high profile enough to have imitation bags proliferating the internet but immediately upon opening the window I realized my mistake - of course... the "I'm not..." bags.

Now I'm not all haute and bothered because the fauxs exist. What has me up in arms is that the fake farm is charging $105 - a discount from the "retail" price of $140. Someone is surely missing that the entire allure of these bags in the first place was that they cost $15.

The bag may not be plastic, but "I'm Not a Sucker." $105! FOR SHAME FAKE FARM! FOR SHAME!
