Like manna from heaven, MAC cosmetics is hosting a faf-ulous event this afternoon that's the perfect antidote to the buckets of rain currently falling down. French graffiti artist Fafi will be on hand from 4 - 6pm to offer quirkalicious tips and show off the line. My Baby's Got a Secret

Ok, out with it H&B...

Perhaps you've noticed that right smack in the middle of Fashion Week - the olympics, World Series, Oscars of fashion - the postings over here have been a bit, shall we say, sparse.

Well, I've got a confession to make. H&B did something totally uncharacteristic, totally impulsive and totally haute (if she doesn't mind saying)... On a total whim, I flew the coup, and headed for a long weekend of sun and sand and relaxation (say wha?). And I've got to say, that while I was concerned about missing the end of the week, it was entirely delightful in every way, and I'm quite confident I can play catch-up pretty quickly.

So, with that said, I am back, rested, a little tan, and even a little relaxed. Stay tuned for fash week wrapups (aka trend reports) and more bits and bobbins. Here's hoping I haven't left you all that bothered my haute tamales.

NY Fash Week '08 in Pics: Badgley Mishka's Diamond Showing

It was a gem of a show all around for Badgley Mishka yesterday, where the duo not only put on a stellar runway, but debuted their foray into fine jewelry.

"We showed a few pieces in the diamond collection today, and worked with a company called Zale Mark," said James Mischka. "For our pieces there is a red carpet section that is very over-the-top and glamorous, a vintage-y, dirty-diamond kind of look that we are always very partial to, and a beautiful bridal section of engagement rings and wedding bands that will become the core." The gems will retail for $5,000 to $3,000,000.

Saleisha's Star Turn

Tibi or Not Tibi, that is the question.

While ANTM winner Saleisha did in fact walk the Tibi runway this morning, the walk was a short one - just one pass to be exact. The participation seemed entirely obligatory (CoverGirl was shooting her commercial there) leaving us to wonder is Saleisha really going to be America's next TOP model???

Not to be all "panel" and all but she does seem a tad too commercial for high fashion. What do you think is it better to have one obligatory pass than to never have passed at all?
